Why you should add an MS bike ride to your 2026 calendar
At Bike the US for MS, every mile we ride helps raise awareness and funds for multiple sclerosis (MS). Our cycling adventures are a special blend of exploring new places, making great friends, and riding with a bigger goal in mind.
Following the excitement of our ongoing 2025 season, we’re thrilled to share the 2026 ride lineup. From cross-country epics to coastal journeys, weeklong challenges to fall adventures, there’s something here for every cyclist. And this year, you even get to help decide our new September ride!

Fundraising goal: $5,675 ($1.50 per mile)
Spots: 18 already signed up – only 7 remaining!
Our ultimate coast-to-coast journey is back! Starting in Yorktown, VA and ending in San Francisco, CA, the TransAmerica Trail covers 3,785 miles of forests, plains, mountains, and deserts. This time we’ve added a few extra days to make the long stretch through Utah more manageable, ease the long day into Pueblo, and even give the team a little more time to enjoy Lake Tahoe. It’s arguably the most challenging yet beautiful route you can take across the country with the most drastic of landscape changes.

Help us Choose our September Ride!
September 5 – 12, 2026
We’re adding one more 5-7 day adventure to the calendar and you get to help us pick:
- Allegheny Mountains Loop – A ‘home base’ Blacksburg, VA start/finish with a mix of pavement, gravel, rail trails, and Appalachian climbs. A great mix of remote valleys, steep descents, and a chance to visit Green Bank Observatory.
- Adirondack Park Loop – Starting in Albany, NY, this loop passes Saratoga Springs, Lake Placid, and Lake Champlain. With historic towns, rolling hills, and Olympic heritage, it’s a perfect slice of upstate New York.
- Green Mountain Gravel (Vermont) – Our newest design: 45–50 miles per day of Vermont dirt roads linking small towns, farms, breweries, and swimming holes. Gravel riding at its best.

The Atlantic Coast Ride is too dangerous . South Carolina, highway 1 northern Virginia. Coming out of Philadelphia.
I would never recommend this to anyone
Thanks Nick! Yes it seems the ACA route hasn’t been changed despite the increase in traffic, hence it not being in our schedule for the time being. Not ruling out switching to the Greenway route one day, but need to see some improvements there first.
