This holiday season, we want to take a moment to honor the milestones that 2025 has brought, from births to passings.
Here are some life milestones and updates from our alumni community:
- Jade Budowski-Todd, our BTUSFMS social media director, got married this fall!
Births:
- BTUSFMS founder Don Fraser and former executive director Cassie Wertz have welcomed their second child this fall!
- Jodi Myers (Trans America ’24, Northern Tier ’25) completed a full ironman triathlon and welcomed a baby granddaughter into the world.

- Kristine Oberg (Olympic Peninsula ’25) shared that her son Will and wife Molly added baby Odette to their family this summer. She joins her cousin Rosie, 2, as Kristine’s two grandchildren.
Passings:
- Burke Flynt, Northern Tier 2025 rider, will be dearly missed. He was a US veteran and a steady and joyful presence on the ride.

- Colin Berg, longtime alum and friend of Bike the US for MS, passed away this fall after battling pancreatic cancer. His legacy as a devoted and kind rider will live on.

Bike the US for MS is a family — we support each other through life’s many ups and downs. Leave us a comment below if you have a life milestone to celebrate or an alumni’s life to honor.
Getting in the Bike the US for MS Holiday Spirit:
We leave you with this parody of the song “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas”. Hopefully it will bring back some memories and encourage you to sign up for another ride!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Ride Season.
Everywhere you go
Take a look at the van & trailer, it’s glistening once again
With sparkling cubbies and tires all a glow
It’s beginning to look a lot like Ride Season.
Bikes of many styles
but the prettiest sight to see, MS funds provided that
Pumping legs compiled.
A cool beverage ending clear days with tailwinds
Is the wish of those who trek.
Chains that are lubed and a clear road ahead
Is the hope for all riders that check.
And James & Duncan can hardly wait for rides to begin again.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Ride Season.
Everywhere you go
There’s a camp in Glacier Park, one in Tempe as well.
All waiting for the cyclists returning show
It’s beginning to look a lot like Ride Season.
Soon the bikes will start
And the thing that’ll make ‘em ring is the help that you bring
Right within your heart!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Ride Season.
Joys in every mile
but the prettiest sight to see, MS funds provided that
Pumping legs compiled.
Sure, it BTUSFUS once more!
Happy Holidays to All, Peace & Joy!
