The Northern Tier & Pacific Coast routes this year have had some leader challenges. We are happy to say that Alumni have stepped up to Assist. On the Northern Tier, shortly after departing Bar Harbor, some leadership issues developed. You can imagine that with 30 riders, this became an issue quickly. When asked, several alumni stepped up to fill the void….much to the relief of James & Duncan.
A special thanks goes out to Larry (Sully) Sullivan, Katie MacDonald, Charlotte Austin, Eddie Sinsun, Bernie & Nick Antkowiak, and Julia Beverly. It was also my pleasure to be able to assist for a few days. Even with all the transition, the ride teams pulled together and was very respectful of the challenges faced.
In the spirit of “Adopt a Stop”, many of our Alumni have also welcomed the riders at various overnights and rest stops along the way. We have had a great response this year and we are truly grateful to all that we have met along the way. A Special “THANK YOU” to our very supportive Alumni! You have all made this adventure very special!
