Originally from Kent, Ohio and an Ohio State alum, I'm currently a graduate student at Virginia Tech studying urban planning.  I really enjoy the outdoors, especially what's available around Blacksburg.  The years since school at Ohio State have been spent bouncing between Australia, New Zealand, the Tonga Islands, Kent, Ohio, the Dominican Republic, and finally Blacksburg.  Some of this time was spent backpacking, bartending, school/career searching, studying, and now studying some more (finishing...now! - time flies). 

I'm very psyched with the present opportunity to contribute to a very important cause while taking part in an incredible adventure.  Multiple sclerosis is a debilitating disease that has affected the lives of many friends and family.  It’s a very good feeling to know that our contributions will be supporting research and treatment at the James Q. Miller MS Clinic in Charlottesville.  I'm interested to see the developments in MS research in the future.

I haven't seen much of the west coast but I can’t think of a better way to explore it than on a bike (sweating through the same clothes everyday haha) with a sweet crew while supporting a vital cause.  I will be thinking of all those who are affected every pedal stroke of the way.   

Any contribution you could make would be very awesome and an important component to our team efforts against this disease.
